The Denim Tuxedo Element
I always find that, when I wear blue jeans, it only truly feels complete when it’s entirely denim. It’s partly why I own so many denim jumpsuits, but there’s something that feels so true-American when you are covered from top to bottom. It doesn’t ever make me think of Brittany Spears and Justin Timberlake decked in denim together - more like a rugged yet chic vibe. No shade on Britney, though. It could be the patchwork and the bling that just makes me think; NINETIES (& not in a good way). And being that, again, I feel like I live in the wilderness, it seems fitting. I didn’t think it ever truly made sense on the streets of NYC, as a black tailored suit and sneakers felt more fitting…but going out to dinner in this look felt so good.
Anyways… ‘Merica.
