Building a Glassware Closet

This was a very quick DIY. Originally this closet was used for coats and hanging, and because I made a larger coat closet by cutting a room in half from the renovation, I thought this could be better used for more fragile storage.

  1. Remove all hanging materials, and patch holes

  2. Cut shelves to fit the space, separate them almost evenly for a clean look

  3. Secure shelves with wood underneath for maximum support, this was the most important detail

  4. Glue shelves with strong glue to the walls and wood support

  5. Prime interior of closet

  6. Paint interior of closet with semigloss so it doesn’t scratch as easily if you put items in (and use a dark color if you have some glue coming out to cover it up LOL
