The Saddle Bag
I always had a deep love for the saddle bag by Dior. When people started wearing it again, it was the ultimate chic accessory that had some level of nostalgia - but I always saw it as a classic piece that is also super comfortable to wear; the strap is thick and the bag is flat, making it feel almost invisible on your body.
It was brought back to life in 2018 from the archives of it-girls in the 90’s. And so we are going through some sort of 90’s fashion resurgence, it fits the mold of something that also feels a bit modern. It comes in a range of sizes and styles, for example, belted or in a mens style (which I btw, LOVE even for the gals)
The bag is a street-style classic, and I think it goes so beautifully with a range of outfits from suits, denim, to dresses… especially how it falls on dresses. I would say the best way to style this bag (in this specific size) is with a full covered look, or something with a bit of shape. I think it can lose a bit of its appeal on, for example, a more minimal look like a tank top and jeans. I guess, in short, the bag sits beautifully on a backdrop of fabric.
